Nerdsense Episode 59 – Didn’t You Get The Memo?

Whoa! It’s already part 3 in our Road to Dawn of Justice series! That means only 5 more episodes until we will be sitting in the Nerd Den recording our Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice review!

Episode 58 – The King of the Wicker People

Episode 57 – You’ll Believe Mike and Shaun Can Fly

Welcome to the first episode in our Road to Dawn of Justice series!

You’d have to be as tough and strong as Superman to get through the technical difficulties your humble hosts went through to get this brand spankin’ new episode to your mobile devices. Luckily, they learned everything they needed to know from the Man of Steel himself, in his 1978 major motion picture debut.

They pick apart the film and tell you what they liked and didn’t like, and they do it with humor and reverence. It’s the first step on their march toward BvS, and while they may stumble drunkenly, they’ll get you there, and you’ll be more knowledgeable because of it.

Sprinkle in a few tidbits of nerd news and last weeks episode of The Flash and you have your weekly dose of Nerdsense!

Episode 56 – Road to Dawn of Justice

And DC comes out swinging!

This week we got an overabundance of DC beamed into our television sets, and your humble hosts are here to let you know all about it.

You’re gonna hear all about the Dawn of the Justice League television special and, logically, the brand new trailer for the upcoming Suicide Squad.

Also, there’s a brand new show that just debuted on CW called Legends of Tomorrow, and brand new episodes of Arrow and The Flash. And unlike Kevin Smith, we watched ’em all.

Finally, we outline our own “road to BvS,” so you’ll be getting plenty of DC content over the next couple months. Check out the MOSTLY concrete schedule below!

Episode 50 – Nerdsense Episode 51

Shaun and Mike are back, and this time the slurring is minimal.

They are all over the controversial new trailer for Batman V. Superman, covering everything, including Jesse Eisenberg’s polarizing Lex Luthor, Affleck’s Bat-voice, and the film’s villain, Doomsday.

They also give their opinions on the recent Arrow/Flash two part crossover extravaganza, and have a more in depth discussion on the new Netflix series Jessica Jones.

Notes: Very very black with fruit on the nose. Not as much hop profile as I was expecting but we did drink this a week after it’s “Enjoy By” date but overall still a great brew

Guinness Nitro IPA

Glassware: Smuttynose Balloon Glasses
Overall Nerdsense Rating: 1/5
Notes: Not very good at all. To be fair, Mike and I tried this on draft the day after it was marginally better. Still not something I’d drink on a regular basis

New Batman v Superman Dawn of Justice Trailer!

Here it is boys and girls! The 2nd official full length trailer for next years behemoth, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice!

It’s a pretty revealing 3 minutes. We learn that the villain, well one of them at least, is Doomsday who is created from the deceased Zod. Granted, the trailer could be misleading so we’ll have to wait until March to see how that really plays out.

We also see our three heroes team up versus battling each other with a little humor sprinkled in for good measure.

Episode 42 – I’m Batman, Mother Fucker

Mike and I watched the first 40 minutes of The Death of Superman Lives prior to recording so we give our initial thoughts on the aborted Superman project and what we thought worked and what was absolutely ridiculous.
