Notes: Escape Plan pours an amber orange color with deeply milky haze. The nose is lively with bright aromas of orange blossom, lime zest and cream of coconut. Blended passion fruit takes the lead while deep waves of freshly juiced orange and pineapple inundate the palate and highlights of smooth vanilla and nutty almond accentuate the creamy mouthfeel. A touch sweet and sour, Escape Plan has a medium body and an imperceptibly low level of bitterness. (8.7%)

Notes: (From Website)Blonde Ale aged in used Chardonnay barrels from local Sonoma County wineries. It is aged for about 9 to 15 months (depending on the age of the barrel) with lots of brettanomyces, lactobacillus, and pediococcus added to each barrel. Medium bodied with hints of oak and Chardonnay, funky brett characteristics, with a nice, long sour finish. (7.5%)

Nerdsense Drinks Reviews – #43 Grimm Psychokinesis

Grimm is a little brewery out of Brooklyn run by a husband and wife duo. They build their recipes in their kitchen then brew the recipes at other breweries. Gypsy brewing. This is one of my first beers by them and I was so happy we got to try it.


Style: Dry Hopped American Sour Ale
Container: 22oz Bomber
Glassware: Teku Glasses
Overall Nerdsense Rating: 4/5
Notes:Hazy golden wild farmhouse ale, dry hopped with Mosaic, El Dorado, and Jarrylo. Beautifully balanced acidity, glowing hop aromas redolent of guava, watermelon candy, pineapple, and ripe mango. Conditioned on oak for light tannin structure.
