Nerdsense Drinks Reviews – #178 Trillium Congress Street

As you will notice right away, Mike and I did a good amount of reviews before this one.  Mike probably a little more than me…don’t worry though, the tables will be turned when we release our next video….

Notes: Our flagship American IPA highlights the distinctively aromatic Australian Galaxy hop.  The nose bursts with pine, citrus rind, melon and pineapple. Pronounced flavors of peach, clementine, and tropical fruits are accentuated with moderate bitterness and balanced by a light, biscuity malt character.   (7.2%)
Rating: 4.25/5 (Shaun thinks Mike was drunk and wouldn’t normally give this a 4.25)

Nerdsense Drinks Reviews – #175 Idle Hands Four Seam

Our first Idle Hands beer on the channel! This is their New England Style IPA designed using a rotating IPA series called Change Up.

Glassware: Treehouse Teku’s
Notes:Four Seam, our first year round IPA, conjures up thoughts of a tropical paradise with bursts of citrus, mango and guava that sit on top of a refrained malt backbone. Bitterness remains subdued to allow the true character of the hops to shine through while the cloudy appearance elevates the experience  (6.6%)

Nerdsense Drinks Reviews – #153 – Cellarmaker Wicked Juicy

It’s WICKED JUICY, GUY!

Glassware: Nerdsense Snifters
Notes: We make this one with Simcoe, Citra & Galaxy hops along with a simple grist of pale malt & oats & fermented it warm with English ale yeast. It’s totally unfiltered dude!! (7%)

Nerdsense Drinks Reviews – #152 Treehouse Alter Ego

We’ve got the Hyde to Julius’s Jekyl. Julius dry hopped with Mosaic and Amarillo!

Container: 16oz Can
Glassware: Treehouse Teku’s
Notes: What we did here is we took a whole bunch of Mosaic and Amarillo hops, a classic punch of citrus purveying goodness, and added them to the Julius dry hop. The base beer is exactly the same, but the dry hop is altered tremendously. (6.8%)

Nerdsense Drinks Reviews – #122 El Segundo Steve Austin’s Broken Skull IPA

Mike and I are kinda sorta wrestling fans. We don’t watch Raw or Smackdown but follow the story line and try to watch most PPV’s. We were both huge wrestling fans when we were younger which is really the main reason we have been trying to get our hands on this beer.

Most craft beer lovers have a “Whale”. I call this our “Shelf Whale”

We are joined again by our good friend and HUUUGE wrestling fan, Nick.

A big thanks to Mike’s buddy and previous guest Spencer for sending this our way. Our shelf whale has been acquired!

In our excitement, Shaun forgot to hit record on the audio so this is the audio feed from the camera.

We go in completely blind for this one and come out…well just watch the review!

Notes: A nice juicy with a little a bit of bitter IPA. Sort of a nice East\West melding (6.3%)
